ISS Over West Virginia

International Space Station Flyover Martinsburg! I captured these two images from our deck a few minutes ago. The first is facing north west and the ISS is rising. I was a little late starting the capture. When it rose above the top of the frame I picked up the camera and moved to the other side of the deck facing south east and caught it on the way down. Note that at the lower end of the trail it tapers off as it fades out. This is because the station passed out of sunlight into the Earth’s shadow. These images are composites of a series of 20 second exposures at f/2.8. The camera was an Olympus EM-1 MkII with the Olympus 7-14mm at 7mm. I was a bit rusty on the capture technique but next time I’ll nail it.
