Catching up …

It’s an indication about how negligent I have been with this blog that I have had two images selected in juried exhibits in the last few months. So just to bring the record up to date I am pleased to report that my image “Rural Delivery” was selected in the Allegany Arts Council national juried photography exhibit, which was juried by Steven Perloff, publisher of the “Photo Review”.

And maybe the best news was that this print was sold out of the exhibit. Sometimes it works!

Also the image “Keystone, McDowell County, West Virginia” was selected for Tamarack’s annual “Best of West Virginia” exhibit. The exhibit is currently on display through August 7 in the David L. Dickirson Fine Art Gallery at Tamarack in Beckley, West Virginia.

This image was from one of my visits to McDowell County, where I have sought to capture something of the environment of the deep coal country.

One Response to “Catching up …”

  1. Hey Rip,65 degrees today. Cool and wet.Hope you are doing well. Summer so far has been relatively cool which is good for the Canola fields as they bloom. Then it can warm up to the 80’s so the Corn and Wheat get growing well.North Dakota is looking good and lucky for us the big hail storms missed.Dan Smith
