North Dakota Workshop, First Images

After three days of phot0graphing near Rugby, ND, I finally have a few minutes to offer a few preliminary images. I am with Tillman Crane and six other participants and we have experienced rain, wind, a brief thunderstorm and glorious sunlight, but no matter what the light conditions, the landscape and visual environment in North Dakota is breathtaking. The sky is ever changing and the remains of so many abandoned homes, churches and businesses is a testament to the isolated harshness of the environment. Still, for those who can learn to live here, it must be the only place to live.

Here are a few random images from the first three days. I’ll try to post some more soon.
